Nicole (b.1992, Belgium) is an interdisciplinary artist and art psychotherapist who currently lives and works in London (United Kingdom).<\/p>

Nicole’s preferred art medium are oil paints and stained glass, however she also has been exploring embroidery in her most recent artwork. She uses these materials to mainly explore her relationship to herself and others, her thoughts, emotions and unconscious patterns. She has previously made interactive pieces of work, which engage the viewer in exploring their own agency and connectivity to others. The themes in her work explore inner and outer boundaries of the self, protection and vulnerability, mental health, pain, family dynamics, neurodiversity, disability and loss. Nicole often leaves her artwork open to interpretation, so that the viewer can connect to the artworks in their own unique way. <\/span>Analytical and curious, she has been very interested in studying the human condition, and through combining her passion for art and psychotherapy, she is able to explore the mystery of the human psyche, and her own unconscious, in her artworks.\u00a0<\/span>Nicole has been greatly influenced by symbolism, surreal art, performance art, dark art and figurative painters such as Lucian Freud, Francis Bacon, Michael Borremans, Ren\u00e9 Magritte, Dino Valls, Wangari Mathenge, Jan de Maesschalck, Caravaggio, Hans Memling, L\u00e9on Spilliaert, Th\u00e9odore G\u00e9riault\u00a0<\/span>and<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Mircea Suciu. Her most recent artworks focus on symbolism and metaphors, and this closely relates to her work as an art psychotherapist.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
